The fastest way is to just start doing it. I'm not sure if there is a quick way to get into shape. I know for me it's just the act of getting myself into a daily routine of exercising. Several months back I started running again. The first day I could barely run a quarter mile. The first week I was in pain. I weighed 200 pounds at the beginning of this new work out. I started going to the gym and began really putting in the hours. It only to a couple of weeks to start really feeling good from the exercises. After the move back here to Chico I was feeling really good from keeping up with the exercising but I tore some ligaments in my ankle which happened at the end of February and I haven't been able to get back into exercising or have had much motivation to get back into it. I was probably working out for no more than a couple of months but I felt really good during that time. So I stopped exercising but I began to eat much better and now I'm down to 160 pounds which I lost most of that in a really short amount of time. I just bought a bike maybe 4 days ago and I have barely driven my truck since so I'm slowly getting back into shape. Well I didn't really give you too much advice but I think the best thing to do is find something you actually like to do that's exercises and do that. For me it was play basketball which is very aerobic though it led to me injuring my ankle and putting me out for awhile.

yeah derek..that was good advice actualy , but the problem is finding something I like lol, well I love to swim..and isn't swimming the best for you since your using all your muscles? anyway, I don't have a pool lol, but If I had one I would be doing that everday.. well I weigh about 120 and always have since high school I guess I should be thankful for my weight, because I do eat a llot of junk, but I also feel crappy because of it ya know , so it doesn't pay off.. I guess im looking for something I can do in my home ya know.thats not too hard.. I have been eating a little better lol, I eat more veggies and fruit thats for sure..but I can't stop eating junk or red meat... i just can't lol

Some forms of yoga are strenuous and get you in shape. That's good for energy too so you might kill 2 birds with one stone. For just getting in shape you need to get the book from this guy here: www.musclenow.com You can read a lot about it there. If I had done things his way from the beggining it would have literally saved me years of frustration. Nothing else ever worked for me and it's not because I'm untalented, nothing else would work for probably most people. Just read what people have to say on there. I tried EVERYTHING Other things are written by steroid users and they have no idea what works for the normal non-steroid users. I'm gonna stop talking about it now because if I try to explain how much B.S. you read in fitness magazines and books, I will be here typing for the next month straight and I'll end up getting mad at all the other authors. Anything can sound good and true when you read it, but in muscle-building almost nothing works when you actually try it. Unless you have above average genetics or take steroids.

yeah I may try the yoga.. and thanks Ill check out the book..lol, I know there is a lot of crap out there that promises and doesn't deliver..so maybe I should stick with the basics of exercising.. there is another thing I like to do thats rollerblading but Im not sure if that would help much..

well just rember that air and food are your fuel, eat a good brekky to get started. your endurance is determined by your cardio system so yeah swimmings good for that heres a link to a good health and fitness website www.menshealth.comwww.menshealth.co.uk/I know they say mens health but the fitness and diet sections should provide you with some good infomation to go on anyway oh and dont forget to warm up and warm down, strech your muscles before and after, this will help prevent the aforementioned sore muscles and breaking ligaments

It all depends on what you want to do: gain muscle or be in good cardio shape or just lose fat.
Yeah, diet is just as important... like if you just wanted to get down to a low bodyfat % you could do that with food OR exercise (as long as you don't eat tons when you're not running or whatever. If you weightlift food is just as important as lifting. If you want to just get in good cardio I'm sure rollerblading would work. Like I said about the food in combination... just don't take one step forward and one step back. I knew a guy who would order a big mac and fries and then a diet coke along with it lol, like the diet coke would do anything against the big mac.

Eat a salad once a day and get you mitts on some fruit and veggies, like eat an apple insted of that choclate bar, try and choose foods with high water content to help. also I found that I only seem to drink water when it's at hand so get a water bottle. enjoy

that it would but you might wanna keep it close at hand it's suprising how much you drink when its right there, I have a bottle on my desk and usually have one in my bag, also by having it close at hand you can take advantage of the lazy factor in that you dont need to move or maybe thats just me
