hmm, I see laziness with the four of pentacles..lol to me I see people working hard and the person in the back is gaining all the profit from someone else's hard work..this is a selfish card in most decks lol..and it is also lack of skill, lack of providing for oneself.. I think I disagree with this...at least on this card...lol. I see each of the people working on a specific task. The person in the back appears to be younger than the others so would have a simpler task of hanging up whatever that is to dry. I see it as them working together to complete one overall goal. the 9 though is a wonderful card..it is as close as individualism we can get really, we go out and do for ourselves , work hard and reap the rewards from it..usually the 9 is someone who is alone..however they choose to be, they are satisfied with themselves. I absolutely agree with this...hehe.

thats fine trust your instincts, and also follow what you see for yourself ya know..but the 4 of pentacles is a hard working card you are right however most decks show that it is a selfish person not using their resources wisely and taking advantage of them..but yeah I see what your saying in your card of the 4..

Haha...I can see some of what you are saying about the selfishness in the other cards I have. The 4 of Pentacles in the Pagan deck has the woman grocery shopping. She is looking away while reaching for some yogurt...hmmm...maybe she is selfishly picking the flavor that only she likes...hehe. I also looked at the Rider-Waite and it definately looks that way. He has a pentacle in a circle under each foot, one on his head and the last he is holding protectively in his arms like he is saying it's all mine. Maybe the other is saying it as well as no one is working on the same thing. They are each being protective (or maybe selfish) of their own tasks. I guess it does depend on the images on the card and maybe how it is interpreted with other cards drawn?

yeah, thats why I said you will learn your own way of reading the cards, and its cool because it is your way based on how you see/feel the cards..

Mind/Body/Spirit spread[/b] Mind--Ace of SwordsShedding the old to make room for the new. Body--DeathAgain a new card...last time I drew it in the spirit position, but I think the message is still the same. Seems to be another new beginnings card. Spirit--The TowerBeing forced to see the truth. Not being hidden away from what the reality of a situation is even if it hurts or breaks you down.

I think those are very good interpretation of those cards. Especially the Tower card.

since the tower landed in your spirit card, I would have to say this can be your own negative thinking patternes at work..I see the tower as too much negetivie influence of our own self..but of course you/we can change this.because the tower is not always something happening it usually depicts our thoughts on outcomes.

Well I definately seem to self-defeat quite a bit. So I'm not really surprised that you said it could be my own negative thinking/influence on myself. To use a bit of a cliche...we are our own worst enemy. I see this mostly when I am writing. Last night I started to try to write some poetry again (it's been a while). A lot of times I will discard something or throw it away or hide it because I don't think it is any good. I have been trying to work through that by posting my work here and sending in a story to the Writer's Digest Short, Short Story contest. I was trying to write some new poetry to send into their new poetry contest because of course I think all my old stuff is crap...lol. Ahhhh...the issues I must work through.

hmm, well I would keep pushing through it and dont be so hard on yourself..I think any or all that your write is important as it is your heart speaking..the concept of perfectiong is just an idea..just like anything else..there is no such thing, so maybe try seeing your work as a peice of yourself that enables others to walk in your shoes for a bit..I don't think anyone can really say its bad or good except for you do you know what I mean?;lol

Great ideas, Ronni! That is what I am trying to do. I've always been a bit of a perfectionist, but I am working on changing that throughout my life (not just in my writing).

Hehe Andin you and I are one in the same in many ways. I know exactly how you feel. I haven't written anything in a looong time. And I think most of the stuff I wrote isn't very good. The ones I like the most were those that came straight from the heart. When I just wrote without laying judgement on what the words said. They are the most important writing I have and I'll always cherish them. I'm getting two of them published in a poetry book that is due for release next year.
Have faith in yourself and you will write something that will really stick with you.

Asked "What should I follow at this time?" and drew the 9 of Chalices: How fitting that this card should come up after what we had been talking about. I see it as a card of creativity. To take time to use your imagination. To focus on what you love.

OK...I might not be able to do this for the next couple of days or so because of preparing for the holidays. So I decided to do something a little bit the same, but different. I did the mind/body/spirit spread with both decks. I was absolutely surprised how close they were at least the last two cards drawn in the spirit position (at least in my opinion--tell me if you see it as well). I will post both the cards together. Mind/body/spiritMind position--8 of Pentacles (Ramses) & The World (Pagan) I see the first one as becoming self-sufficient, independent. The second one to me I see being balanced, seeing the big picture. Body position--King of Pentacles (Ramses) & Elder (King) of Swords (Pagan) With the first one I see being well-prepared. With the second one I see as having learned all I can and to now pass it on. Perhaps telling me that I have had all the stress I can handle and to get rid of it now...let it go. Might explain the headache that won't go away for the last few days. Spirit position--Justice (Ramses) & 2 of Pentacles (Pagan) These are the two that I see closely fit each other. The Justice card obviously showing a balance...being logical...realistic. The second card also shows a balance, but also of continuing to move...maybe being shown that something can be trusted and that it is safe to continue on.
