And lets hope we get to the bottom of it (the truth) so we can avoid this sort of thing again. This administration uses it and the victims as a propaganda tool and that is just wrong!!

In your last paragraph Gav, you sound like a supporter of a One World Government or New World Order.
The ideal does seem utopic, until you realize that human nature takes over, as does a few people who want to govern thier way. George Orwell, in his novel Animal Farm, illustrates this perfectly.
In short, there will never be peace on earth as long as human kind doesn't evolve to a more selfless and empathetic creature.

Israel did not start it and yet they have warned people in advance of retaliation-attacks, Are you sure about that? Have you looked at the actual timeline? This current war started long before the capturing or (kidnapping) of the Israeli soldiers. Hezzbolah made a statement yesterday that they would put down arms and negotiate with Israel when Israel stops the bombing. Guess what? Israel is still dropping bombs.

It could be either (1) the U.S. and Britian are holding off hoping that Israel will eliminate or severly damage hezzbolah themselves so they won't have to get involved, or its (2) incompetence.
Judging from the current situation in Iraq, and the way the U.S government officials handled the aftermaths of hurricane Katrina, and the terrorists attacks from 9-11, I'm guessing #2.

As I type this, it is the eve of our 27th in Iran. We'll see wont' we.
I think president's Ahmadinejad and Bush are both extremists--each one hoping the other strikes so they can begin their "crusades." I say put them both in a ring and let them duke it out.
No, that wouldn't work out either. They would never agree to the terms. Each one wanting the winner to have complete control of the other's country.

Since we are all here for our love of mind expanding exercises, dreams, and the paranormal, perhaps announcing upcoming TV specials, movies, and seminars relating to these topics.
This could also include internet broadcasts or podcasts.

I voted no, just because I figure if someone has a question, they can ask it in the general discussion forum and several members can respond and have a discussion.

I'd vote, but I'm not sure what a shoutbox is. Does it have to do with putting your location on a map?

I'm not sure if this would be an invention, or a discovery, but I vote for ibuprofen. (trade names Advil and Motrin and Nuprin).
Without it, there would be days I wouldn't be able to get out of bed.

I found a link to the site at International Association of Dreams. I came here and saw forums for dreams, including one for a journal. That's what attracted me the most.
I also like the phenomonon forum.
Would it be possible to get more emoticons? I love those things but with so few here, it's hard to find the right one that expresses what I'm trying to say.

They passed a bill allowing some torture and restricting habeus corpus to born and naturalized Americans only. If you're in the country illegally, you're shit out of luck.
Also, the republicans are in deep doo-doo for covering up and protecting a sexual predator--congressman Mark Foley. He sent explicit emails to 16yr. old pages and members of the House, including Speaker Dennis Hassart, knew about it for years and did nothing. The party of "values" protected a predator to protect a republican's seat in the house. We see where their priorities are.
Now Bush is once again out on the campaign trail saying that the democrats are weak on terror. Even though a republican administration was in charge when the terrorists attacks occured on 9/11/01, they're saying "Hey, never mind that! Don't focus on the fact that we suck at protecting Americans, or the fact that we suck at protecting minors. Boo! 911, 9-11!"

Concerning Mexico, ... This wall in also a way to encourage the Mexicans to Join the USA army,...as a way to get AMERICAN CITIZENSHIP ~ as Bush hinted in his Television Speech about Mexican Us relations and the poor guy in the hospital that was injured in the Battle and Bush asked what he could do ..? The Mexican wanted American Citizenship for him and his family and Bush said he would give it to any one willing to stand up for this conuntry... Sure the Americans don't want to join ~Up so why not have Mexicans fight in his WAR .,...lol.......if they live to become citizans..?~SXY~ I saw the report on the news about recruiting immigrants. The military is getting desperate now. People are not lining up to join anymore because they don't want to be caught in a years long quagmire in the Middle East. Besides, what the Bush administation has done is illegal. But like we discussed before, he doesn't believe he can do any wrong. So now they've found a great way to boost their recruitment numbers. Have them join the military in exchange for citizenship. Trouble is, does that extent to thier family members? Are they going to recruite grandma Rosarita too?

Did you ever wonder about the new Mexico wall border to keep Mexico out ,.... I also keeps US in ...! I didn't look at it that way. When the Mexican government finally gets rid of all its poor, who are here working, then they will have to open the borders again. This time, it will be poor Americans going to Mexico to find work.

It's interesting that a bill was signed banning torture. Yet, Bush did state behind the scenes that he can override it if he wants to. Several grunts have been convicted of prisoner abuse. Why didn't Bush decide to override it then?
He said, "We don't torture." Yet, he stated that he can allow it if he sees fit. So I guess you can say that we do in fact torture.
The bottom line is, Bush only thinks he can disobey the law. No one is above it. He only thinks he is. Trouble is, we don't have enough people in the House of Representatives with enough backbone to call for oversight. Or, we have too many neo-conservatives in congress who get their rocks off watching these clowns erode our civil liberties.

If it was a missle that hit the pentegon, then where's the plane that supposedly hit it? FACT: Blast expert Allyn E. Kilsheimer was the first structural engineer to arrive at the Pentagon after the crash and helped coordinate the emergency response. "It was absolutely a plane, and I'll tell you why," says Kilsheimer, CEO of KCE Structural Engineers PC, Washington, D.C. "I saw the marks of the plane wing on the face of the building. I picked up parts of the plane with the airline markings on them. I held in my hand the tail section of the plane, and I found the black box." Kilsheimer's eyewitness account is backed up by photos of plane wreckage inside and outside the building. Kilsheimer adds: "I held parts of uniforms from crew members in my hands, including body parts. Okay?"www.popularmechanics.com/science/defense/1227842.html?page=6&c=y
